In just a few months, Apple is set to reveal the iPhone 16. Despite Apple’s usual secrecy, numerous rumors about the features of the next generation of iPhones are circulating online. The standard version of the new iPhone is expected to introduce several upgrades and may even incorporate the Action button from the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Last year, Apple introduced the “Action button,” a versatile physical button allowing users to perform various tasks. From toggling the flashlight to launching ChatGPT in voice mode, the Action button can be customized for various actions, including initiating a FaceTime call.
According to MacRumors, the iPhone 16 is rumored to feature a new Capture button, a physical button that functions like a camera shutter for taking photos and videos. In terms of design, the iPhone 16 may initially appear similar to its predecessor, but rumors suggest that Apple is reorienting the camera lens from diagonal to vertical to enhance Spatial Video capture capabilities.
Speculations suggest that the upcoming iPhone 16 will maintain the same screen size as its predecessor, but Apple may use a more power-efficient material for the display. Additionally, Apple is reportedly working on new chips for the iPhone 16 series, built on TSMC’s 3nm node.
Although details remain scarce, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are rumored to be powered by the Bionic A18 chip, while the Pro models will feature the Bionic A18 Pro. The new iPhones are also expected to introduce a graphene-based thermal design to address heating issues.
Another rumor suggests that the iPhone 16 will be available in seven colors: blue, pink, yellow, black, green, white, and purple. However, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims the upcoming phone will come in black, green, pink, blue, and white.
Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 16 series in the second week of September, with sales starting the following week. However, there is no word yet on whether the tech giant will maintain last year’s pricing or increase it.
