Microsoft has introduced an official Copilot bot within the Telegram messaging app, allowing users to search, ask questions, and chat.
Microsoft has launched an official, free-to-use version of its Copilot bot within the Telegram app for both mobile and desktop users. This AI chatbot enables users to search, ask questions, and engage in conversations directly within the messaging app.
Currently in beta, the Copilot chatbot for Telegram functions like a regular conversation bot, according to a report.
Microsoft’s move to introduce the Copilot bot on Telegram aligns with a broader trend of AI companies enabling access to their large language models (LLMs) through messaging apps.
Meta has similarly integrated its Meta AI into various chat apps, including Messenger, WhatsApp, and Instagram. Google has also made its Gemini chatbot accessible within Google Messages on Android devices.
To access Copilot on Telegram, users can search for the Copilot Bot in the app and look for the one with the checkmark and username @CopilotOfficialBot. The current beta version has a 30-turn limit, meaning users can engage in up to 30 back-and-forth messages.
Microsoft has been expanding the reach of its Copilot assistant, which is also available as a business application and built into PCs. Additionally, Copilot is integrated with Microsoft’s 365 subscription services.
