HP has unveiled the HP Omen Transcend 14 laptop at the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES), introducing a series of notebooks. This 14-inch gaming laptop is part of the latest Omen lineup, joining the ranks of HP Omen Transcend 16, Omen 16, and Victus 16.1. HP proudly claims that the Omen Transcend 14 stands as the world’s coolest and lightest 14-inch laptop. Packed with features like an OLED display, local AI capabilities, and an RGB backlit keyboard, the Omen Transcend 14 is powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra chipsets and is available in two distinct color options.

HP Omen Transcend 14 price, availability

The HP Omen Transcend 14 is now open for pre-orders on the HP website, starting at a base price of $1,499.99 (approximately Rs. 1,24,510) for the Intel Core Ultra 7 155H variant. For those opting for the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H model, the price is set at $2,249.99 (around Rs. 1,86,772). In addition to the HP website, the gaming laptop will be purchasable on BestBuy.com in the US. As of now, HP has not disclosed a specific launch timeline for the Indian market. The Omen Transcend 14 is presented in two attractive color options – Shadow Black and Ceramic White.

HP Omen Transcend 14 specifications

The HP Omen Transcend 14 gaming laptop operates on the Windows 11 Home operating system. It boasts a robust performance driven by the up to 5.1GHz Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU, featuring an impressive 16 cores and 22 threads. Accompanying this powerful processor is up to 32GB of LPDDR5x RAM and storage options scaling up to 2TB SSD.

The laptop is equipped with a 14-inch 2.8K (2880 x 1800) OLED display, offering a smooth visual experience with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a peak brightness of 400 nits. In the graphics department, the laptop provides integrated Intel Arc graphics and the option for an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 discrete GPU. For the Core Ultra 7 variant, the default configuration includes an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 series GPU, accompanied by 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD storage.

HP’s Omen-series laptop is equipped with a 6-cell, 71Wh battery, and it utilizes a 140W USB Type-C power adapter for charging. According to HP, the laptop incorporates fast charging technology, enabling it to reach up to 50 percent charge within just 30 minutes. The laptop is purported to deliver a battery life of over 8 hours on a full charge, providing users with extended usage capabilities.

The Omen Transcend 14 offers a variety of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. On the port front, it features one Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C port with power delivery support, one USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack. The laptop is also equipped with an HP True Vision 1080p webcam, integrated dual-array digital microphones, dual speakers, and an IR thermal sensor. As an added bonus, buyers receive a one-month free trial for Xbox Game Pass.

The dimensions of the Omen Transcend 14 laptop are 12.32 x 9.19 x 0.67 inches, and it weighs approximately 1.75kg.
